vadatīti cēnna prājñō hi prakaraṇāt..1.4.5..

atrāha sāṅkhyaḥ -- jñēyatvāvacanāt, ityasiddham; katham? śrūyatē hyuttaratrāvyaktaśabdōditasya pradhānasya jñēyatvavacanam -- 'aśabdamasparśamarūpamavyayaṅ tathārasaṅ nityamagandhavacca yat. anādyanantaṅ mahataḥ paraṅ dhruvaṅ nicāyya taṅ mṛtyumukhātpramucyatē' iti; atra hi yādṛśaṅ śabdādihīnaṅ pradhānaṅ mahataḥ paraṅ smṛtau nirūpitam, tādṛśamēva nicāyyatvēna nirdiṣṭam, tasmātpradhānamēvēdam; tadēva cāvyaktaśabdanirdiṣṭamiti. atra brūmaḥ -- nēha pradhānaṅ nicāyyatvēna nirdiṣṭam; prājñō hīha paramātmā nicāyyatvēna nirdiṣṭa iti gamyatē; kutaḥ? prakaraṇāt; prājñasya hi prakaraṇaṅ vitataṅ vartatē -- 'puruṣānna paraṅ kiṅcitsā kāṣṭhā sā parā gatiḥ' ityādinirdēśāt, 'ēṣa sarvēṣu bhūtēṣu guḍhō.tmā na prakāśatē' iti ca durjñānatvavacanēna tasyaiva jñēyatvākāṅkṣaṇāt, 'yacchēdvāṅmanasī prājñaḥ' iti ca tajjñānāyaiva vāgādisaṅyamasya vihitatvāt, mṛtyumukhapramōkṣaṇaphalatvācca; na hi pradhānamātraṅ nicāyya mṛtyumukhātpramucyata iti sāṅkhyairiṣyatē; cētanātmavijñānāddhi mṛtyumukhātpramucyata iti tēṣāmabhyupagamaḥ; sarvēṣu vēdāntēṣu prājñasyaivātmanō.śabdādidharmatvamabhilapyatē; tasmānna pradhānasyātra jñēyatvamavyaktaśabdanirdiṣṭatvaṅ vā..
